Bright Paradise
The Bright Paradise series explores native and introduced flora as meditations on place, growth, and impermanence, reimagining lush environments through intricate, layered compositions.
Drawing on her training in printmaking, Valentine stretches botanical forms and flattens pictorial space to bring detail forward to the picture plane. Influenced by Japanese printmaking, Manga, and 1990s–2000s Neopop, her work balances precision and exuberance, inviting sustained, close looking.
