This 26-part series started as a painting exercise, and opened a whole new dimension to my practice. I was looking for a way to “shake up” my painting style, and create a collection of affordable works for online release.

However, simple painting practice quickly turned into a deep dive into learning as much as I could about the Aboriginal names of plants, and the genius of First Nations knowledge and plant lore. This is a journey I want to continue, to build my knowledge of and respect for country and culture in my adopted home.
