Djarraly or Eucalyptus marginata is native to the southwest of Western Australia and is a symbol of resilience and strength due to its hardiness and the ability to regenerate after fire.

The artist grew up in Aotearoa New Zealand, and the project was an exercise in learning and appreciating Aboriginal language and plant lore, and learning more about Australian plant species.
